hot mix asphalt resurfacing project consisting of: hot mix asphalt surface removal, bituminous materials tack coat, hot mix asphalt binder/surface course, aggregate shoulders, and pavement marking on Canyon Park Road from Apple River Canyon State Park to US Route 20. Canyon Park Road is located 2 miles west of Stockton, IL. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The proposed improvement includes the overlay of Canyon Park Road from the Apple Canyon State Park, south to US Route 20 for a distance of 6.3 miles. The Hot Mix Asphalt overlay will consist of a 1.5" binder course and a 1.5" surface course. The beginning for project (north end) will be milled 1.5" deep along an existing sidewalk and Type A gutter and receive a 1.5" surface course only in the milled section. The majority of the project will also include the placement of 4' wide aggregate shoulders. The mainline completed paved surface shall be 21' wide.
