This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 and is being conducted in conjunction according to FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Recently the Southeastern Fruit & Tree Nut Research Laboratory (SEFTNRL), Byron, GA location constructed a 20' x 40' clean room to house new Pecan Nut Cracking and Sheller equipment. Due to research protocol for pecan nut processing this room must be free of contaminants as possible. To increase the capabilities of this requirement the louvered air vent must be replaced by an exhaust fan. The USDA, ARS, SEA, Fruit & Tree Nut Research Laboratory, Bryon, GA location has a requirement for the following. Contractor must provide all equipment, materials, and labor to remove and dispose of a 46" x 56" louvered air vent and replace with an equivalent sized exhaust fan. Contractor must reframe opening to securely house the exhaust fan and seal. Contractor must run electrical wiring and conduit from breaker box to the newly installed exhaust fan, to include an off/on switch. All work must be performed in accordance with attached Statement of Work (SOW). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management, (SAM), prior to submitting a quotation.
