Renovation of a municipal facility in Spring Valley, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,600-square-foot municipal facility.

Complete removal of 9,600+ S.F. of the 3-tab asphalt shingled roof system down to the existing wood roof deck and installing a complete new roof system consisting of dimensional asphalt roof shingles, gutters and downspouts, metal valley flashing, drip edge and attic ventilators. Removal and replacement of some existing fascia board and aluminum cover can be expected. Area of damage and amount required shall be determined in the field by the Engineer after the existing gutters have been removed. All of this work will be as part of the base bid. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 40% of all labor required for the completion of this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the City of Spring Valley. Bids may be held by the City of Spring Valley for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding Question Deadline 08/12/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
