The scope of work consists of the roof replacement at MDPD Kendall Station 5 located at 7707 SW 117 Ave., Miami FL 33183. The bidder shall examine the site carefully to determine the scope of work and satisfy him/herself as to all observable conditions. Any questions regarding materials or obstacles that might be expected must be clarified during the bidding period. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, permits, and all other items necessary to complete the entire scope of work to include the removal of all existing roofing, roofing underlayment and roofing insulation and the proper disposal thereof, and the preparation and protection of the exposed substrate, the installation of new roof insulation, underlayment. In addition, the front monument sign and office trailer must be pressure cleaned, sealed and painted. All work shall be done in accordance with the Florida Building Code (FBC), FM Global requirements, NRCA recommended practices and, MDPD Technical Roofing Specifications, "Kendall District 5 Re-roofing, Concrete Restoration & Waterproofing, Volume I and II" and associated construction drawings. The bid price shall include the removal and proper off-site disposal of all work-related debris. All work is to be performed in accordance with the latest edition of the Florida Building Code (FBC) and all local, state, and federal regulations. Bid price is also to include asbestos survey of roofing materials and (if applicable) the abatement of roofing related asbestos containing materials, all related permit fees and permitting expenses related therewith.
