Site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Beacon, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
Taconic DDSO is seeking abatement services at a residential property in Beacon NY. This project will consist of removing the existing non-ACM flooring surface to reveal the underlying ACM floor tiles for removal, and the cleaning of the mastic from the concrete floor. Identified Caulk around front door will also be abated. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 60 days of award, unless modified. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. All work must be completed by a licensed abatement contractor and comply with Code Rule 56. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1.Review existing building asbestos survey data as provided by owner. 2.Complete site visit(s) to develop an understanding of the abatement requirements, site conditions, and work constraints. 3.Review the anticipated project abatement requirements against Code Rule 56 (CR 56) and evaluate the potential for a site-specific variance to allow efficient abatement procedures for flooring and caulk. Any variances will be the responsibility of the vendor. 4.Create and supply to owner a workplan for the project. Workplan will be reviewed by owner and must be approved prior to starting work. 5.Remove and dispose of existing floor as identified in the attached map and survey to reveal the underlying ACM floor tiles. 6.Abate identified ACM floor tiles as indicated in the asbestos survey, and thoroughly clean the mastic from the Concrete. The concrete subfloor should be left in a state of readiness for new flooring installation. 7.Abate the identified caulking around the front door. 8.All debris must be removed by the end of the workday(s). 9.Vendor is responsible for providing Project Manager Notes, Employee Certifications, Certified Payroll and Manifests for DDSO records. 10.The Contractor shall perform all contract work in accordance with the contract specifications, New York State Department of Labor Industrial Code Rule 56, 40CFR , Part 745, OSHA, NESHAPS, and all other applicable codes and variances. 11.Air monitoring and Testing services to be provided by owner.
