Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Waycross, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. 2.Work To Be Done: The Work to be completed for the ARPA INO Improvements at Bailey St, Elizabeth, and Garlington Parks is described briefly as follows: Bailey St. Park: Construction of one (1) restroom facility, improvements to existing pavilion, softball field improvements, scorer's booth, scoreboard, dugout construction, various chain link fencing, wood panel privacy fencing, concrete plaza, resurface and restripe existing basketball court, twenty (20) stall parking area, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, grading and electrical work. Elizabeth Park: Construction of one (1) restroom facility, one (1) splash pad, one (1) pavilion, various chain link fencing, various brick and block work, mulch, basketball goal replacement, ten (10) stall parking area, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete plaza, various playground equipment, grading and electrical work. Garlington Park: Construction of one (1) restroom facility, one (1) splash pad, improvements to existing pavilion, various chain link fencing, aluminum wrought iron fencing, various brick and block work, stage, mulch, re-stripe basketball court, six (6) stall parking area, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, stamped concrete plaza, and various playground and fitness equipment, grading and electrical work. This project will also generally require landscaping, erosion control, and any ancillary items needed for a complete project. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia.4. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. 5.Bonds: Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. 6.Funding: This project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) requiring compliance with applicable state and federal bid laws. 7.Reservation of Rights: Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Question Deadline 09/02/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
