Renovation of a municipal facility in Dayton, Ohio. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of May 15, 2025, an engineer has been selected. This project is in the design phase and design is expected to be completed by August 31, 2026. A firm timeline for bidding and start of construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Scope of Work The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to procure Professional Design Services from qualified Engineering firms for the Montgomery County Central Utility Plant - Chiller Replacement & Upgrades Project. Critical infrastructure within the central utility plant is nearing the end of useful life and must be replaced to ensure reliable operation of this facility that serves the entire downtown campus with chilled water for air conditioning. All questions associated with this request for qualifications shall be submitted to Barb Asberry Senior Buyer, at AsberryB@mcohio.org in writing no later than 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Performance bond. Ability of the Designer to provide a performance bond in the amount of $1 million Notice to Proceed (A/E Contract Approved) Estimated Time Frame: September 2024 Construction Schedule: May 2025 - May 2026 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
