B. Demolition and Removals: a. Remove and properly dispose of existing asphalt concrete (AC) pavement, minor Portland cement concrete surfaces, including conduit covers, and cold mix asphalt patches located on top of the loading dock platforms. b. Demolish and dispose of an existing reinforced concrete staircase, including metal handrailing. c. Remove and properly dispose of existing loading dock bumpers, including wood, laminated rubber, and molded rubber components. a) Installation and Improvements: a. Construct new 8-inch thick, steel-reinforced Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement on top of the loading dock platforms. b. Construct a new reinforced concrete staircase with a metal handrail to replace the removed structure. c. Install new loading dock bumpers as follows: i. Molded rubber bumpers along the west (water side) loading dock edge. ii. Laminated rubber bumpers along the east (land side) loading dock edge. d. Minor edge rehabilitation of certain areas of significant deterioration along the loading dock face.
