Salisbury-Rowan Utilities (SRU) currently provides water and wastewater services to more than 50,000 residential and commercial customers throughout Rowan County. As part of its ongoing asset management program, SRU will be accepting sealed proposals for the assessment, maintenance and repair of valves within its water distribution system. The objectives of this program will be the extension of asset life expectancy; reduction of long-term operations and maintenance costs through programmed maintenance efforts; assessment of distribution asset conditions; and the enhancement of a geospatial information management repository for utilization by SRU in evaluating asset repair/replacement decisions, and integration of the collected information into SRU's existing GIS systems.. This agreement has a base period of one (1) year, renewable at SRU's discretion for two (2) 1-year renewals. Exact composition and amount of annual work assigned will be defined by SRU. No bid bond is required.
