Robert Betts, City Manager The City of East St. Louis (the City) is issuing a Request for BIDs (RFB) from qualified and experienced general contractors for the City of East St. Louis Renovation project. The project involves removing and replacing the existing floor on the 1st floor Rotunda area, the stairwell entrance to the police department, and the entrance by the dock area of the City Hall building located at 301 River Park Dr. East St. Louis, IL 62201. City hours of operation, excluding holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Currently, there is square tile flooring. This bid is for complete Rotunda replacement of flooring and baseboards. The stairwell entrance to the police department, and the dock entrance of the City Hall. The replacement services should include the following. Removal and disposal of old flooring, trim, baseboard, etc. (as appropriate) Fitting and installation of new flooring Finishing wood or laminate trim/baseboard The flooring should be vinyl plank high- performance flooring, waterproof, with texture for slip proof safety, 8mm thickness and 20 ml. wear layer. The flooring should be of commercial grade and have an acoustical pad for noise reduction. The flooring in the stairwell area of the Police Department should be rubber like existing.
