The Lancaster Central Market Trust ("CMT") is seeking information from Companies who can provide options/solutions for replacing the existing PA system. The Lancaster Central Market Trust ("CMT") is a nonprofit organization that operates the 21,000 square foot (55-60 feet tall) historic Lancaster Central Market ("Market") located at 23 N. Market Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. he Market is the oldest public Market in the Country and has continuously operated since 1730. The CMT was created in 2005 and assumed operations, while the City of Lancaster ("City") maintains ownership of the historic Market House. The City and the CMT work cooperatively to identify, plan, conduct, and fund capital projects. The existing intercom/speaker system was installed in the early 1970s. The equipment is outdated, doesn't transmit sound properly or clearly, and is not integrated with the phone system. The 3CX phone system has a Page Overhead extension so that important announcements can be made, such as emergency notification. The concrete floor was poured in 1889, with only a small area having been re-poured since. Because of the age of the concrete, there is a concern that too much weight from a lift will damage the floors. Furthermore, most market stands are permanent and cannot be moved to accommodate work involving lifts. Scaffolding is a viable alternative, however, must not prevent the Market from being open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Closing sections of the Market to accommodate the work may be considered. The purpose of this RFI is to identify a Company that can provide/install a speaker system or another solution that will accomplish the Outcome Goals contained herein.
