Milling & Paving of Emerald Drive This project consists of the following typical section for resurfacing Emerald Drive in the City of
Walnut Grove:
o Variable Depth Milling, 0"-2"+ to level gutter and maintain crown
o 220# / SY 12.5 mm patching, or as directed by engineer
o 135# / SY 9.5 mm topping.
o ALT 1: placing, minor grading, compacting of millings on treatment plant access
road.
o 884 Forester Cemetery Road, Walnut Grove, GA. 30052
o ALT 2: placing, minor grading, compacting of millings in gravel parking areas of
the Walnut Grove City Park
o 1021 Park Street, Walnut Grove, GA 30052 Bids will only be accepted from contractors prequalified by the Georgia Department of Transportation or sufficient references for similar projects. Bid Bond for 10% of the total bid
Performance-Payment Bond for 100% of the total Base Bid amount with Power of Attorney All questions or explanations requested by Bidders shall be submitted in writing to the city Engineer in ample time to permit consideration before the bid date. Questions shall be submitted to: aaron.wadley@LNCOpec.com The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid that is quantifiably deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Walnut Grove reserves the right to cancel and rebid for any reason. A bidder may withdraw any proposal he has submitted at any time prior to the hour set for the closing of the bids, provided the request for withdrawal is signed in a manner identical to the proposal being withdrawn. No withdrawal or modification will be permitted for 30 days after the hour and date designated for opening the bids. All questions or explanations requested by Bidders shall be submitted in writing to the city
Engineer in ample time to permit consideration before the bid date. Necessary replies will be
recorded as Addenda and provided to all Bidders, and receipt thereof shall be acknowledged on
the proposal. Bidders shall check with the city prior to bid opening to secure any Addenda that
may affect bidding. Oral instructions will not be given and do not form a part of the Bidding
