General Scope of work: The proposed project involves interior emergency lighting replacement at Centennial Terrace and Parkview Rise and exterior porch light replacements at Belmont Courts. The existing interior and exterior lights will be removed, and new interior and exterior lights will be installed. Some of the new interior lights will be emergency lighting, with battery backup, as indicated on the drawings. The exterior porch lights will be removed and replaced with an LED light with photocells. The existing switch will be terminated and covered. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of 5% of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000, However the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
