Verona Park Improvements The Scope of Work Includes the Upgrade of Community Park Equipment and Fitness Equipment, Resurface and Rehabilitation of Park Courts, Rehabilitation of Park Fall Surfaces, Installation of New Park Bench, and Installation of New Electronic Marquee Sign at Railroad Park in Verona Borough. The bid must be accompanied by a certifed check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Authority, Borough or Township to guarantee the bidders entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifcations, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. This project was fnanced [in part] by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verifcation Act (July 2012) apply. The Borough shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Borough may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Borough has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.
