The purpose of this bid event is to establish an open agency contract to provide year-round grounds/landscaping maintenance to the Georgia Forestry Commission at our state headquarters located at 5645 Riggins Mill Road, Dry Branch Georgia, 31020 as per the attached scope of work. Property Details o Approximately 60 Acres Within Fence Consisting of 32 Buildings and a Combination of Sidewalks and Roadways Throughout. o Approximately 3,000 Feet of Road Frontage Outside of Front Fence. o Please See Attached Map for Layout Details. The Following Services to Be Provided Weekly Throughout the Year in Accordance With the Seasons and Weather. Company Must Be Located Within a 60 Mile Radius of the Macon Complex. Grass Areas o Growing Season (March - October) All Grass Areas Will Be Cut at a Height Most Suitable for the Property's Specific Needs. o Off Season (November - February) All Leaves Will Be Removed Through Mulching, Bagging, or Blowing. Curbs, Sidewalks, Driveways& Parking Lots o All Areas to Be Edged at Each Visit During the Growing Season and Maintained During the Off Season. o Any Accumulation of Leaves, Dirt, or Debris on These Areas Should Be Blown Off and Removed Each Visit. Trash & Debris o All Grass and Bed Areas Will Be Kept Clean of Trash and Debris. Including but Not Limited to Sticks, Limbs, Pinecones, and Trash. Shrubbery & Shrubbery Beds o All Shrubbery Will Be Pruned and Maintained in a Manner Appropriate to Its Natural Character and Growth. o All Shrubbery Beds Will Be Edged During the Growing Season and Maintained as Needed During the Off Season. Bedding Materials o Bedding Material Such as Pine Straw, Mulch, or Pine Bark to Be Provided and Installed at the Agency's Request. Trees o Trees Will Be Kept Free From All Sucker Growths. o Lower Limbs Will Be Pruned and Lifted to Maintain Form and to Provide Visual Clearance for Safety. Weed Control o All Weeds Found in Curbs, Sidewalks, Shrubbery Beds Will Be Removed by Chemical or Mechanical Methods. o Perimeter Fence Spraying to Be Done Quarterly With Pesticide to Control Weeds, Vines & Grass Growing on Both Sides of the Fence. Fire Ant Control o All Mounds to Be Treated at Each Visit to Help Eliminate Population Growth. Pest Control o Pesticide to Be Applied (as Needed) to Eliminate and/or Prevent Signs of Pests. Gutters o Clean Out Leaves and Debris in Gutters and Blow Off Entire Roof of Straw and Leaves Quarterly. This Includes Gutters at the Main Building, Auditorium & Warehouse Building. Special Conditions General The Contract Specifications Are Not Intended to Indicate Every Detail on Every Item of Material or Equipment Required. The Intent is to Guide the Contractor to a Complete, Functional, Finished, End Product. The Contractor Will Furnish All Equipment, Materials, and Fuel Needed to Complete All Required Maintenance. The Contractor Will Obtain From the Owner, All Necessary Information About Facility Operations to Avoid Conflicts and/or Interruptions of Service. Guarantee The Contractor Will Guarantee the Work Done in Accordance With Specifications. Anything Unsatisfactory Will Be Corrected Immediately and at the Contractor's Expense. Scheduling of Work Normal Working Days Are Monday - Friday. To Adequately Maintain the Property, Visits During the Growing Season Should Be Weekly. Visits During the Off Season Should Be a Minimum of Every Other Week. Weekly if Needed. Workmanship Superior and Professional Workmanship is Expected. All Employees of Contractor Are Expected to Conduct Themselves in a Professional Manner and Follow All Rules and Regulations Set Forth by the Owner.
