The Contractor hereby covenants and agrees with the Minister as herein provided in connection with the following work, namely: Project #38 - York Point Rd, Rte 6 Millcove/Dunstaffnage 2024 York Point Rd - (Section 24801, Station 900-1800) Rte 6 Millcove/Dunstaffnage - (Section 00601, Station 0-1520) For a total distance 2.42 km This first section commences approximately 900 metres north of the intersection of York Point Rd and Ferry Rd and proceeds north for a distance of 900 metres. This second section commences at the intersection of Rte 1 and Rte 6 and proceeds north for a distance of 1520 metres. This work includes: Cold planning 2.6 metre strip along shoulder on each side of road (1.4 metres of asphalt and 1.2 metres of existing shoulder material) (55mm) where required, placing asphalt seal B (55 mm) in 2.6 metre strip cut on each side of road where required and all other work necessary to complete the Contract. a bid bond equal to or greater than the amount stipulated in Schedule A - Schedule of Special Provisions. The bond shall be from a surety company authorized to carry on business in Canada guaranteeing to supply a performance bond equal to 50% of the Contract value, excluding HST and a labour and material bond equal to 25% of the Contract value, excluding HST. a certified cheque in the minimum amount of ten percent (10%) of the Contract value, excluding HST, which shall be retained until the warranty period (one (1) year after substantial completion) has elapsed
