Site work and paving for a civil project in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Roadway construction along existing dirt roads, including traffic control, erosion control measures, and construction of approximately +-330 LF of 18" RCP piping, +-34 LF of 24" RCP piping, a quad 5'x6' concrete box culvert, roadway grading, +- 11,761 SY of 8" soil cement base, +-1,563 TN of 9.5 mm RAC superpave, signage, striping, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Ben Hill County prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to the Ben Hill County for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Ben Hill County, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
