Renovation of a municipal facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
SERS is requesting quotations for all services and equipment necessary to design, install, configure, test, train and provide first year preventative maintenance and support for a cost-efficient, state of the art turn-key solution that will successfully provide the temperature and humidity controls for its computer room infrastructure. Established in 1923 by the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement Code, the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) is one of the nation's oldest and largest statewide retirement plans for public employees. SERS manages the pension benefits of approximately 239,000 employees and retirees for 102 public sector employers. In 2023, SERS paid about $4 billion in benefits and managed over $37 billion in assets. The law requires that most state employees be SERS' members and, typically, employers automatically enroll new hires. SERS is a multiple-employer, cost-sharing defined benefit plan. Act 2017-5 introduced a defined contribution plan in which most SERS' employees hired on or after 1/1/2019 must participate either fully or in combination with a defined benefit. In addition to the defined benefit and defined contribution plans, SERS also offers a voluntary deferred compensation program. SERS' employees can choose to use payroll deductions to build additional retirement savings in 457(b) investment accounts. Employees manage their own investments from an array of options and no employer contributions are provided. Duration: 1 year All questions pertaining to this project must be directed to Ms. Gusler via email at cgusler@pa.gov. Potential bidders must register for the pre-bid site inspection by sending email notification to SERS' Procurement Specialist, at ER-OIT_PROCUREMENT@PA.GOV. Suppliers are encouraged to contact procurement staff by calling (717) 237-0331 with any pre-site visit questions.
