Project Summary: interior demolition and construction to renovate room CSB001 located in the Sub-Basement Level of C Building at the John Dempsey Hospital at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, Connecticut for the final location for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Tundra Cryo Electron Microscope. It includes renovations to an existing area involving demolition work and construction of interior partitions and installation of finish materials, equipment, accessories and mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. Scope of work includes but is not limited to: Selective Demo, Asbestos Abatement, Cast in Place Concrete, Concrete Underlayment, Metal fabrications, Rough Carpentry, Insulation, Firestopping, Joint Sealants, Steel Doors & Frames, Wood Doors, Access Doors, Door Hardware, Door Interlock Controller, Glazing, Painting, Resilient Flooring, Metal Framing, Gypsum Board Assemblies, Interior Signage, Wall & Door Protection, Laboratory Casework and Countertops, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Liquid N2 Piping, HVAC, Electrical and Communications Cabling. Project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates - Rates can be found in specifications. Project is Tax-Exempt. This project is to be substantially completed in 180 calendar days from notice to proceed. Note from Associated Construction - seeking SBE/MBE/WBE participation. SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION: The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion within ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY (180) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. Addendum #1-#3 have been issued as of 8-28-2024.
