The Ayer Department of Public Works (DPW), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Spectacle Pond Water Treatment Plant GAC Media Replacement for the Ayer DPW in Ayer, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the Ayer DPW. The project is located at the Spectacle Pond Water Treatment Plant, 10 Spectacle Road in Ayer Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. All work shall be substantially complete within 90 consecutive calendar days of the date fixed in the Notice to Proceed and fully completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of the date fixed in the Notice to Proceed. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount. The successful General Bidder must furnish a fifty percent (50%) Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
