Inspection and Overhaul of the Unit 9 Hydroelectric Turbine and Auxiliaries of the Power Plant. Introduction The City owns and operated a small 3.5 MW hydroelectric turbine located beneath Whiskeytown Dam. The City is seeking proposals to disassemble, inspect, and perform maintenance and repairs, as necessary, on the Unit 9 hydroelectric turbine, generator, and auxiliaries of the Redding Power Plant. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 14, 2024 and must be completed no later than Friday, November 15th, 2024. The cut-off date and time for receiving questions regarding this RFP is 5:00 p.m. PDT, on Friday, August 16, 2024. Any questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to both contacts shown below. If the City prepares a response to a written request for clarification, it will be distributed to all known Contractors receiving the RFP and be posted online.
