Town Demographics and Infrastructure Overview: The Town of Fuquay-Varina has a population of approximately 40,000 and is located approximately eighteen (18) miles southwest of Raleigh, NC. Fuquay-Varina is in Wake County and has a diverse commercial base consisting of local and national companies. The Town is a full service municipality and currently operates and maintains two hundred ninety (290) miles of water distribution system, two hundred thirty-eight (238) miles of sewer collection system, a 3.0 MGD Sewer Treatment facility and a 0.117 MGD Sewer Treatment Facility. Scope of Professional Services: The Town of Fuquay-Varina's Public Utilities Department is soliciting Request for Qualifications (RFQ's) to provide engineering design services for a gravity sewer line that will extend from Brighton Forest WWTP to the Middle Creek pump station. Additionally, the existing Brighton Forest WWTP shall be decommissioned after the gravity line is placed into service. The project scope of work generally includes, but is not limited to the following primary tasks: o Project management o Planning and design phase services o Easement acquisition services o Topographic survey and SUE o Geotechnical investigation o Permitting services o Bid and award phase services o Construction administration and observation phase services Statement of Qualification Selection Criteria The Town of Fuquay-Varina invites interested firms/teams to submit a written Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) relating to this solicitation. Respondents are encouraged to organize their submissions in such a way as to follow the general criteria listed below. Information included within the SOC will be used to evaluate your firm as part of the any criteria regardless of there that information is found within the SOQ. Information obtained from the SOQ and from any other relevant source must outline the firm's qualifications and describe the process planned to provide the deliverables listed above. Proposals should include team members, past relevant project experience, knowledge of design services, knowledge of the Town of Fuquay-Varina and any other information related to the decommissioning of wastewater treatment plants. It is the Town's intent to make the selection after reviewing the qualifications of each submitting firm.
