The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, herein referred to as the "Parish," is accepting qualification statements for Architectural Services for the Mallard Junction Community Center and Playground Project. The intent of this Request for Qualifications, herein referred to as "RFQ", is to qualify and award an Architectural/Architect firm who will be responsible for performing architectural services in compliance with Disaster Recovery Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG-DR) requirements for this project which the Parish submitted to the Louisiana Office of Community Development (OCD) under this program. The Parish requests written statements from experienced and qualified architectural/architect firms to assist the Parish in the planning, development, and design of the Mallard Junction Community Center and Playground Project. The Parish will accept statements of qualifications from individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other legal entities licensed and authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana. If an award is made, the successful Architect to whom this project is awarded will be responsible for satisfying the scope of service requirements listed herein. The Architect should identify key, experienced personnel, and facilities to support the activities associated with this RFQ. Individuals who will be directly involved in the project should have demonstrated experience in the areas delineated in the scope of services. It is recommended that a landscape architect or a member of the design team have a proven history of landscape design experience on the project team. Additional qualifications note: Each Architect submitting a paper qualification statement should include: One (1) original and three (3) copies of the submittal should be submitted to the Parish along with one (1) electronic copy (USB flash drive only) in Portable Document Format (pdf). Provide all design related services to include Architectural, Engineering, Landscape and Interior Design services necessary for this project. 2. Program development and Preliminary Design services. 3. Site analysis 4. Schematic Design (to include updated plans, digital renderings, and detailed cost estimate) 5. Site survey preparation 6. A representative from the firm may need to attend Police Jury meetings when necessary. 7. Assist the Parish in providing applicable grant funding documentation as needed. 8. Design Development (to include updated plans, renderings, cost estimation and Third Party estimating if required) 9. Construction and Preparation of Bid Documents (to include paper and digital drawings in PDF format) 10. Contract Administration and construction monitoring. 11. Project closeout (provide digital as-built drawings in PDF format and physical copies)
