Noffsinger Email: noffsingere@michigan.gov The replacement of the parking lot at Building 36, Camp Grayling JMTC in Grayling, MI Contractor is to provide all equipment, labor and materials necessary to remove the existing asphalt, haul the debris to the Camp Grayling gravel pit, compact/grade crushed base, grade for optimal drainage, install a drain, lay hot mix asphalt and apply bond coat on an approximate 24,000 sq ft. parking lot. Requirements 1. General Requirements 1.1. Specifications The Contractor must provide the following: o Equipment, labor and materials required to perform the contract activities. o Remove old asphalt surface. o Move pulverized/crushed asphalt surface to Camp Grayling's gravel pit approximately 2 miles from work site. o Provide gravel to grade the area to ensure proper drainage. o Grade the site. o Purchase and install 48" catch basin in the middle of the lot to connect to existing basin. o Purchase, compact and fine grade crushed base. o Furnish and apply tack bond coat/s. o Furnish, lay and compact Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) leveling course. Leveling course will be a commercial grade 13A or equivalent gravel. o Wearing course will be a commercial grade 36A or equivalent gravel.
