Renovation of a water / sewer project in Woodland, California. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The project generally includes evaluating both the NCPS (450 kw) and EMPS (600 kw) generators and electrical components to assess ongoing reliability and any needed rehabilitation. An initial assessment has been undertaken and the recommendation from outside experts recommended replacement of both generators due to age. However, staff has determined that only the EMPS generator is in need t be replaced at this time due to reliability and performance issues. Estimates for replacing both generators have been estimated but only the EMPS needs replacement within 2 to 3 years. The NCPS generator replacement will be reconsidered at a later date (5 to 10+ years). As of July 8, 2025, this project is in the early pre-design phase and is on hold, pending funding. Engineer firm information has not been determined. The project is included in the City of Woodlands FY 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
