The Work, for Which This Construction Proposal is Invited, Consists of the Following: Replacement of Us 30 Forcemain Between Hendricks Street and Marshall Street the Work Consists of Installation of Approximately Two Thousand Six Hundred Ninety seven (2,697) Linear Feet of Ten-inch (10") Diameter Pvc Dr 18 Force Main, Including; Construction of New Air Release Valve Structures, Connection to Existing 8" D.i. Force Main, Connecting to Existing Manhole, Steel Casing, Pipe Boring (I.e. Pipe Jacking) and All Related Surface Restoration Work, in the Town of Merrillville, Indiana. Proposals, to Be Deemed Eligible for Consideration, Shall Be Properly and Completely Executed on the Proposal Forms Furnished to the Bidders, and Must Be Accompanied With a Certified Check, or a Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company, in an Amount Equal to 5% of Their Base Bid. The Contractor Awarded the Work Will Be Required to Furnish an Acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in an Amount Equal to 100% of the Contract Price, at the Signing of the Contract. An award of the contract may be made within sixty (60) days following the date on which the bids are opened.
