The City of Corvallis Intends to Initiate a Fiber Optic Improvement Project That Will Result in Creating a Fiber Optic Ring Connecting Many of the City's Buildings Costing Approximately $1,400,000 With Wave Business Solutions, Llc Dba Astound Business Solution ("Astound") Through the Use of the State of Oregon Master Agreement. Because Astound Already Has an Agreement for This Type of Service With the State, the City is Not Required to Complete a Traditional Request for Proposal (Rfp) Process as the City is a Member of the Oregon Cooperative Procurement Program (Orcpp). Therefore, the City is Opting to Purchase From Astound Through a Permissive Cooperative Procurement Process. The Original Procurement Process Followed by the State of Oregon Met Procurement Requirements Per Ors 279a.205, 279a.215, 279b.055, and 279b.060 Which Requires That the Administering Contracting Agency's Solicitation and Award Process for the Original Contract Be an Open, Impartial Competitive Process. Since the Cost of the Work Will Exceed $250,000, the City is Required to Issue a Public Notice Allowing Other Potential Vendors the Opportunity to Comment on the Intent to Purchase Through This Cooperative Process. In Accordance With Ors 279a.220, Any Vendor Wishing to Comment on This Intent to Use an Orcpp Procurement Shall Have Seven Days From the Issuance of This Notice to Do So. Should the City Receive Any Comments, They Will Be Reviewed and Written Determinations Made as to a Final Decision by the City. The City Shall Not Consider Any Comments Submitted After the Timeline Established in This Notice.
