It is the intention of the City to describe in this Invitation to Bid ("ITB") the Project to be completed in accordance with all codes and regulations governing all the Work to be performed under this Project. The Doors and Windows Replacement at Various Fire Stations ("Project") is a new construction development project for City of Miami ("City") Fire Rescue ("Fire") Stations Numbers 2, 9, and 12. The Work consists of furnishing all materials, tools, labor, staging, signage, traffic control, any and all necessary tests, shop drawing, permits, plans, and equipment to remove existing doors and windows, then properly dispose, furnish, and install new hurricane wind impact doors and windows. The Successful Bidder shall be responsible to provide, but not be limited to, removing and properly disposing of the existing doors and windows and replace with new ones that are hurricane impact and wind resistant with the same size, which meet or exceed the local current hurricane code rating and fulfill the performance requirements of Category IV Essential Facilities according to the Florida Building Code.
