Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a residential development in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
The Project consists of but not limited to: Upgrades to 24 Bathrooms in the Washington Elderly Development, 667-1, in Stoneham, MA. There are three 1-story buildings on the development, consisting of 29 1-bedroom units. Bathroom upgrades to 24 units include replacement of floor and wall finishes, plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, door and door hardware, and painting throughout. Asbestos remediation is included in the work. All units will be occupied during construction, and temporary bathroom facilities will be required. Filed Sub Bids are required for painting, plumbing, and electrical work. The work is estimated to cost $575,500.00. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 09/06/2024 at 4:00PM EDT for general bids. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the STONEHAM HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000 General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to EOHLC (david.mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the G e n e r a l B i d d a t e . N O WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED
