The City operates a sanitary sewer system that serves a residential population of approximately 150,000 (daytime population approximately 230,000) in a 23-square mile service area. The sewer system consists of 310 miles of gravity sewers (approximately 6,886-line segments), approximately 9800-feet of 12-inch force main, 5300 manholes, 29,500 sewer laterals, and five pump stations. The sewers range in size from 6-inch to 42-inch diameter. The City also owns and maintains the wastewater mains that provide sewer service to 1200 homes in the incorporated area in the City of Cupertino known as the "Rancho Rinconada" area. This is an invitation to provide Sewer Line On-Call Maintenance and Repair Services consisting of maintenance and repair of sewer line services required by the City of Sunnyvale (City) in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions specified herein. The initial contract term shall be for a three-year period. Contract(s) may be renewed for two (2) additional one-year periods provided services and costs are acceptable to the City.
