The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians is seeking proposals through solicitation for a Professional Archaeologist to assist the Tribe with an Archaeological walk-over and shovel testing of two (2) sites. Maps will be included. First site: Known as Ursula's Farm, consisting of 20 acres. The farm is in Iron County at 7043 W. East North Drive, Hurley Wis. Legal description is N1/2, NW1/4, SE1/4, Section 31, T.47 N. R2E. Second site: Known as the Madeline Island Site. Approximately 200 acres of Tribal Reservation Land. Description is the North, Northeasterly shoreline of Section 35, T. 51 N. R 2 W. Sites consist mostly of a sandy loam type of soil. Any or all bids may be rejected when in the best interest of the Bad River Tribe. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
