Bridge Deck Preservation & Repair Design for Four Bridges The City of Spokane, through its Department of Engineering Services is initiating this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit Proposals from Firms with expertise in bridge deck preservation and repair for a project involving four bridges: one each on Greene St. and Havana St. and two on Freya St. The period of performance of the contract resulting from this RFQ is tentatively scheduled to begin on or about November 1, 2024 and to end on December 31, 2026. Location: Spokane, WA The scope of services envisioned in this RFQ is design of and construction phase assistance for bridge deck preservation and repair work on four bridges. More specifically, we anticipate the construction work to consist of the following: 1.Deck surface preparation including scarifying the decks surface and application of sealer/bonder 2.Bridge dick preservation to consist of a thin polyester polymer concrete overlay 3.The Greene St bridge will require more extensive deck repair and surface preparation prior to overlay including, potentially, a thicker concrete overlay and or different overlay materials 4.Potential joint repair on all four bridges. The four bridges must bid as a single package per funding agency requirements. This project has a DBE requirement of 16% as required by WSDOT, the project's funding agency. In the event it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFQ or provide any other pertinent information, such revision will be emailed to you. The City also reserves the right to cancel or reissue the RFQ in whole or in part prior to final award of a contract. Acceptance Period: Proposals shall remain in effect for sixty (60) days for acceptance by the City from the due date for receipt of Proposals.
