The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is partnering with Kansas Fire Departments as well as other agencies and organizations to provide smoke alarms and free alarm installation statewide. OSFM intends to make bulk purchases throughout the fiscal year, based on requests and availability of in-house storage to be able to fulfill requests in a timely manner. In the past fiscal year, requests have exceeded 1700 smoke alarms. Smoke alarms will be purchased based on growing programneeds and availability of funds.
