This project consists of removal and replacement of failing concrete pavement panels on SW 21st St. located between SW Lincoln St. and SW Clay St. The deteriorating concrete pavement panels are located on the eastbound lanes of SW 21 St St. which is classified as minor arterial street, pose a significant concern. The concrete pavement panels are right in front of the driveway entrances, is undergoing severe structural damages. See Exhibit B for general construction limits. However, the exact project limits will be marked by the Construction Inspector prior to the beginning of construction. This segment of the street has a high volume of vehicular traffic. One lane of traffic in each direction on SW 21 st St. shall be maintained at all times during construction. All businesseslocated in & around the project limits must provide access at all times during construction. The Work will commence as soon as practical with the issuance of a Start Work Order. Substantial Completion of the Work will be within 30 days from the date the Start Work Order is issued, and completed and ready for Final Completion and payment within 7 days from the date when Substantial Completion is achieved. All quantities included in the bid items are estimated. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the project quantities based on actual conditions on-site, with the expressed understanding that no adjustment in unit prices will be made.
