The Contractor shall supply, deliver and install locks and locking hardware for interior and exterior doors, cylindrical locks, cabinet and other furniture locks, padlocks, panic exit devices, tubular locks, key-switches, duplicate keys, key blanks, door openers and door closers within five (5) working days of the date of the order. The Contractor shall carry sufficient inventory of such commonly used materials in performance of Locksmithing services. The Contractor shall be trained and proficient in locksmithing skills including but not limited to the following: Repairing and removing obstructions from locks. Adjustments, trouble shooting and replacement of existing locks. Installing new locks, locking hardware, door openers, door closers, emergency and panic hardware, and all related door hardware and furniture locks. Re-core and re-keying of locks. Preparing new or duplicate all types of keys, with or without patterns. May be required to service combination, safe and vault locks on an as need basis. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the County. Successful bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The successful bidder shall with the delivery for the performance bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the work performed under the contract. Upon acceptance of the work by the County, the contractor shall submit a maintenance bond (N.J.S.A. 40A:1-16.3) in an amount not to exceed 100% of the project costs guaranteeing against defective quality of work or materials for the period of: 1 Year 2 Years. Question Deadline 09/09/2024 Every request for an interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to the Purchasing Agent, referencing the Contract Name and Contract Number in the subject line, at PurchasingDiv@co.somerset.nj.us. In order to be given consideration, written requests for interpretation and or clarification must be received at last three (3) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive identified irregularities and technicalities, and to award in whole or in part to the lowest responsible bidder, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any bid which is incomplete, obscure, or irregular may be rejected, any bid having erasures or corrections in the price sheet may be rejected, any bid in which unit prices are omitted, or in which unit/total prices are unbalanced, may be rejected, any bid accompanied by any insufficient or irregular certified check, cashier's check or bid bond may be rejected.
