Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Somerville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of October 28, 2024, project was awarded to Top Line Construction Co., with the amount of $392,195.90. The scope of the project includes approximately 1,400 linear feet of concrete curb, 770 square yards of concrete sidewalk, driveway aprons, and curb ramps, 9,400 square yards of HMA milling, 1,300 tons of hot mix asphalt surface course, replacement inlet castings and related improvements, and option for night paving operations as an alternate bid item; all in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by Greenman Pedersen, Inc., 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, New Jersey. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to Somerville Borough Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the proposal received and to accept the bid in which in their judgment will best serve the interest of the Borough.
