The work consists of the removal and disposal of all desecrated and spalled concrete from the base collar supporting the water tank and re-pouring the removed portions of the concrete collar with new concrete. A new concrete splash pad and energy dissipation structure is to be constructed at the overflow pipe discharge location. Insect screens are to be installed at the opening of the overflow discharge pipe and all labor, equipment and materials required for or incidental to the Work shall be furnished by the contractor. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated on the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Responses to all questions received will be compiled and e-mailed to all registered bidders by 4:00 PM on September 4, 2024. Addenda will be emailed to registered bidders. Failure to not acknowledge addenda may result in a bid rejection. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
