Sanitary Sewer Replacement Event Number: 0000003105 Small and Underutilized Business Program (SUBP) Goals - 4% Combined MBE/WBE Employment Goals - 20% Female and 32% Minority This Contract requires open cut and trenchless replacement of a sanitary sewer located on the east side of South 30th Avenue between East 42nd Street and East 44th Street. Although not an exhaustive list, the work to be performed includes but is not limited to the following items: Mobilization of equipment to the project site Establishing site controls including groundwater monitoring, topographic surveying, preconstruction photographic documentation, post-construction surveying, geotechnical monitoring and subsurface utility locations. Subsurface utility location includes identifying the depth and location of house utilities (e.g., water, gas, electrical, sewer), storm mains and water mains. Coordinating with residents impacted by construction activities and permitting with stakeholder entities. Establishing traffic controls. Establishing sedimentation and erosion controls. Establish localized dewatering as needed for construction of sewer mains. Mark trees for removal and coordinate with coordinate with the City as required for construction of the new sewer main (if needed for construction). Ground stabilization as identified in the drawings prior to trenchless construction. Establishing flow bypass or other means to control residential flows when house services are interrupted from construction activities. Establishing flow bypass from sewer mains to the downstream sewer main when service is interrupted from construction activities. Trenchless and open-cut construction of a new sewer main. Connecting existing sewer service laterals to the newly construction sanitary sewer. Construction of new manholes along the new sewer main alignment. Replacement of an existing manhole where existing and new sewer mains connect. Abandon and partially remove the existing sewer that is to be replaced with the new sewer main. Restore hardscape and landscape impacted by construction. Sod replacement as needed.
