Project Details: Sturgeon Point Lighthouse Station HSR WIP HAR-15-010 National Register of Historic Places, Reference #84001370 Project Description: The DNR Parks and Recreation Division is pursuing funding to complete a Historic Structures Report for the Lighthouse Station associated outbuildings and remaining historic site features. The selected Professional Services Consultant shall specialize in historic architecture for maritime buildings. The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation, Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings, and the National Park Service Historic Lighthouse Preservation Handbook must guide materials investigation methods and proposed treatments to protect the historic integrity of the buildings. Proposed Scope of Work The purpose of the Historic Structures Report is to provide an overview of the historic development of the site as well as specific recommendations to preserve, maintain and interpret the lighthouse tower, attached keepers' residence and remaining outbuilding.
