Furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, superintendence, and labor for the construction of the: City of Nederland S 5th Street Roadway Improvements Project The right is reserved by the City of Nederland, as it's interest may require, to acceptor reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither the Owner nor the Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Nederland; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the greatest amount bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Bids may be held by the City of Nederland for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment bond and a performance bonds.
