Washington County is seeking an experienced Contractor to overhaul the Community Corrections Center HVAC systems that have reached their end of life. This project will replace all dry-side HVAC equipment in the Community Corrections Center, as well as Variable Air Valve (VAV) coil kits, an expansion tank, 2 circulation pumps, wall mounted unit heaters, and a domestic water heater. It will also install new mini-splits for 2 rooms requiring additional conditioning, and upgrade the entire building to a Distech Direct Digital Controls (DDC) system. The estimated expense for this contract will be $2,750,000. The Contractor agrees that work under this contract shall be completed in accordance with the specified contract time. In the event Contractor fails to complete work within the time as herein mentioned, or in the extended time agreed upon, liquidated damage shall be $300 per day. Upon award, the awarded contractor must provide a schedule to the County to ensure a completion date of no later than 4/15/2026. After contractor submittal of schedule, the County and contractor will work together to establish a final schedule that takes into consideration construction and supply chain to minimize the time contractor is on-site. Contractor shall not demolish any equipment until replacement equipment is on-site or in Contractor's possession and available for installation. In the event Contractor fails to complete work within the time as herein mentioned, or in the extended time agreed upon, Washington County may charge liquidated damages of $300/day.
