Renovation of a water / sewer project in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes construction of the Kensington Drive Pump Station Improvements, including but not limited to installation of submersible pumps, valve vault, temporary bypass pumping, valves and appurtenances, startup and testing, project cleanup, and all incidental tasks associated with the project. The required contract completion period is 180 consecutive daysfor substantial completion and final site restoration by May 15, 2025. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, in accordance with Section 00200, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Instructions to Bidders, Form of General Bid, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, Performance and Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following: Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc., Reading, Massachusetts Accent Printing, Inc., 99 Chelmsford Road, North Billerica, Massachusetts For addition to the project plan holder's list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders obtain the Contract Documents directly from Accent Printing. Interested bidders will be prompted to register an email address with Accent Printing to access the documents. Contract Documents may also be downloaded from the Town of Chelmsford's website. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700, GENERAL CONDITIONS, of these specifications. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
