This Request for Quotations (the "RFQ") is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara ("Niagara Region") to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Investigation and Construction Services for the for the Niagara-on-the-Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant Decommissioning, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the "Deliverables"). The Regional Municipality of Niagara (RMON) has retained Arcadis Professional Services (Canada) Inc. (Arcadis) to provide engineering design services for the Niagara-on-the-Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Decommissioning. The WWTP is located at 1738 Lakeshore Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. WWTP consists of two parcels of land. An approximate 23.1 hectare parcel was transferred from PCA to Niagara Region to build the two existing facultative lagoons in 1963-1964. The 23.1 hectare parcel is currently owed by the Region and includes a section of Two Mile and the two existing facultative lagoons. An additional 3.7 hectares of land was leased from PCA to facilitate construction of the existing mechanical and chemical facilities (including the aeration lagoons) in the mid-1990s. Collectively, these two parcels comprise the "Project Site" and represent the area or lands to be decommissioned This RFQ is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2023-RFSQ-184 specifically Category 1.
