5674 Guseman & Hrycyna Labs at Urey Hall Prequalification of Framing & Drywall Subcontractor 09.02 DRYWALL/FINISHING B OR C-9 $145,000 ALIGN BUILDERS, INC. is the CM/Contractor for this UC San Diego project and selected through a previous recruitment. ALIGN BUILDERS is intending to prequalify and bid on this package. The successful Subcontractor Bidder shall sign a Subcontract Agreement directly with ALIGN BUILDERS and shall be bound by all the terms of the contract between the Owner and CM/Contractor. Subcontractors will be required to be properly licensed by the State of California Contractors State License Board with appropriate license for the specified work. Entities to complete and submit a Prequalification Questionnaire and other information referenced below, for purpose of prequalifying to submit a bid for the construction of specific trades for the referenced project. Project Description: Tenant improvement located on the 2nd floor of the Urey Hall building consisting of (2) new lab spaces, new kitchenette, restroom upgrades of 4,749 SF with installation of new walls, doors, windows, finishes, lab casework and equipment, along with new mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades. There will also be modifications to the existing exterior storefront system to accommodate the lab space. The project will be constructed by Subcontractors each working under a separate contract with ALIGN BUILDERS. These contracts will be based on the Bid Package listed. Project scope for this bid package consists of wall and ceiling framing and drywall finishing and includes BSL 2 tissue culture space. Scope includes backing as required per plan for casework and equipment, infill of door openings, patch and repair in restrooms after fixtures have been relocated or replaced. Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $1,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. All information requested in these forms must be provided in order to be considered "responsive" to the requirements of the prequalification. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. Potential bidders will be required to submit their small business outreach plan to the University as part of the prequalification process. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. All Contractors and Subcontractors Must Be Registered With the Department of Industrial Relations (Dir) at Bid Time. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements. Urey Hall Ti Consists of Demolition of Interior Walls, Furniture, Ceilings, Lighting, Equipment in Existing Rooms 2205-2237, 2124-2132, Restrooms 2710-2711, and Janitor's Closet 2810. New Work Consists of 2 New Labs, New Kitchenette and Restroom Upgrades of 4,660 Sf With Installation of New Walls, Doors, Windows, Finishes, Mobile Lab Benches, and Equipment.
