The City of Marquette reserves the right to reject any and all bids if judged not to be in the best interest of the City. INTENT :It is the intent of the City of Marquette to contract with a vendor and establish a price for furnishing water treatment chemicals for the Water Filtration Plant and the Wastewater Treatment Facility DELIVERY :All prices bid shall include any shipping and handling. The materials shall be shipped in vehicles equipped with a hydraulic lift for removing pallets, cylinders and drums. CONTRACT TERM :The Contract term shall be for one year beginning October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025. The city shall retain the right to cancel the contract at any time by giving the vendor 30 days written notification. QUANTITIES :The quantities listed in the Proposal Section of these specifications represent estimated quantities only. The total should not be construed to be guaranteed minimum or maximum to be purchased under the contract. Unit price bids will be used to determine the low bid. Do not leave blank lines on the Price Proposal Sheet. Bidder should write "No Bid" if not bidding on specific chemicals. EXPRESS WARRANTIES :All water treatment chemicals fumished during the term of the contract must be fully warranted for effectiveness In the event city operations require a different treatment, the city reserves the right to change the quality of chemicals herein and negotiate a new price or re-bid the contract AWARD :The City of Marquette intends to award contracts to the bidder with the lowest unit bid price for each of the products listed as items I-VII but reserves the right to award single or multiple contracts, by group or in total, in the best interest of the city. CLARIFICATIONS :Questions regarding ambiguities or the propriety of these specifications shall be addressed in writing to Mark O'Neill, Director of Municipal Utilities (moneill@marquettemi gov), prior to the formal bid opening.
