Renovation of a library in West Allis, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the renovation of a library.
As of October 11, 2024, no bids were received. The City of West Allis is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the installation of a single ply roof replacement and related work to the West Allis Public Library for 2024 Project No. 33 - West Allis Library Roof. New bidders must pre-qualify for bidding by submitting proof of responsibility to the West Allis City Engineer. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond equal to at least 5 percent of the bid payable to the City of West Allis as a guaranty that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days after the award of the contract. If the successful bidder so files the contract and bond, upon the execution of the contract by the city the check shall be returned. In case the successful bidder fails to file such contract and bond the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the city as liquidated damages. The West Allis Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in bidding. COMPLETION DATE It is estimated that the Notice to Begin Work will be given on or about September 3rd, 2024. All work on the entire Contract shall be completed by December 1, 2024.
