Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Guadalupe, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 13,019-square-foot theater / auditorium; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Guadalupe Royal Theatre Revitalization Project GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes the historic renovation of the Royal Theatre to California Historic Code; the new construction of a one-story performing arts building; and landscape work, which includes an amphitheater, parking lot, and a plaza. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION: This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. BONDS: Each proposal must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond of the prescribed form and made payable to the City of Guadalupe for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, such guaranty to be forfeited, should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to furnish the required bonds and to enter into a contract with the City within ten (10) days after awarding of the contract. The successful contractor will be required to furnish three (3) acceptable surety bonds: one for faithful performance, one for labor and materials, and the other for maintenance following construction. Each bond is to be executed in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, except that the maintenance bond shall be for ten percent (10%) of the contract price and shall remain in effect for one year following acceptance of the project for final payment. As a federally funded (Economic Development Administration) project, bidders must use this link for a list of acceptable surety bond companies: WORK SCHEDULE: Work must be completed within 288 working days (calendar days are 420) from the Notice to Proceed. The right is reserved by the City of Guadalupe to reject any or all Bids, to evaluate the Bids submitted, and award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The City further reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the Bid.
