Darlington County School District is seeking a development partner to redevelop this site in a manner consistent with their vision and the goals of the City of Darlington. The Darlington County School District (DCSD) is accepting sealed bids for development proposals for DCSD owned properties which were part of the Brunson-Dargan Middle School in the City of Darlington, South Carolina. DCSD is seeking a development partner to redevelop this site in a manner consistent with their vision and the goals of the City of Darlington. The Project Site is comprised of Parcels 164-14-01-001, 164-14-01-900, 164-14-01-901, 164-14-01-902, 164-14-01-903 which are currently owned by the Darlington County School District and total approximately 35.78 acres, a portion of which is in a flood zone or wetlands. Wetlands have not been surveyed but based on Darlington County GIS it is estimated that approximately 7.34 acres may be classified as a wetland, leaving approximately 28.44 acres of the site as upland. Approximately 9.43 acres is in a flood zone, which is inclusive of the wetlands. Those areas that are in the flood zone or wetlands are predominantly wooded. The upland areas were part of the Brunson-Dargan Middle School and contained the school buildings, parking lots, and sports fields. The school has been demolished. The entire site is in the City of Darlington and is currently zoned R-6 (High Density Residential).
