Site work and renovation of a civil project in Johns Island, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work to be performed consists of the following: Four (4) new 115 Hp dry pit submersible pumps, piping, valves, pump and pipe supports, controls, electrical improvements required for the new/replacement pumps, including replacement of the existing diesel standby generator and day tank with one (1) Owner furnished 500 kW diesel standby generator, day tank, replacement of diesel fuel lines from bulk storage tanks to day tanks, structural modifications, new louvers and dampers, HVAC, and various appurtenances as required for a complete and operational system The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the Work as described herein and indicated on the Contract Drawings To be eligible to bid this project: Contractors must be prequalified for this project by the Commissioners of Public Works. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid for the completed work. Both a Performance Bond and a labor and materials Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid for the completed work, will be required of the successful bidder concurrent with execution of the contract. For work consisting of $5,000 or more, the Bidder must be licensed by the South Carolina
