The City of Charles Town, West Virginia, is soliciting proposals from businesses to provide basketball court restoration. These court restoration initiatives address multiple court surfaces as well as fence replacement. Because of routine and regular usage of the courts, the courts require a complete resurface and striping and furtherincludes priming, crack repair, patching in areas, power washing, and painting. For the purposes of this RFP and Court Restoration, the following scope of work is needed: o Approximately 12,400 SF of surface area o 1000 L.F. of striping o Painting of main Courts - blue o Key areas - red o Center court painted with a custom Charles Town seal o 4ftx4ft patch repair at JMP basketball court o Resurfacer - over the entire court surface, apply two (2) coats of acrylic resurfacer o Apply two (2) coats of Sportsmaster court-grade material mixed to manufacturer specs o All courts to be professionally power washed to remove old paint and debris in asphalt o 500 LF of crack repair prior to adding color using commercial grade crack repair o Striping - All court lines shall be accurately located, and a paint primer shall be added prior to the white line paint. Surface Prep - New asphalt surfaces must cure 14-30 days prior to application. It is recommended that any uncoated asphalt surface receive one (1) or more coats of Acrylic Resurfacer as required by surface roughness and porosity to provide a smooth, dense underlayment for application of color coatings. Surface and air temperatures must be above 50'F (10'C) during application and for at least 24 hours after application.
